While we’re packing our bags and dreaming of getaways, many pets begin to suffer without us even noticing. Changes in routine, long journeys, unfamiliar surroundings, noise, extreme temperatures… What’s leisure for us can be a real ordeal for them.
Some show it through panting, anxious looks, or trembling. Others isolate themselves, stop eating, or develop physical symptoms. And even if they say nothing, the heat, travel, and changes can seriously affect their wellbeing.
This summer, at Eurovet Veterinary Clinic, we want to help you detect, prevent, and ease those discomforts that often hide behind a simple “they’re acting strange.” Because a peaceful holiday starts with taking care of those who are always by our side.
During the hottest months, it’s common to see dogs and cats suffering from conditions triggered or worsened by heat and travel. New arrivals may experience stress from travel, car sickness, dehydration, digestive issues, and anxiety from being in a new environment.
Pets living in or visiting the area more frequently suffer from heatstroke, sunburn, heat exhaustion, sun- or humidity-aggravated dermatitis, insect bites, or allergic reactions. Some even have flare-ups of chronic conditions or develop skin issues from exposure to saltwater or chlorine.
That’s why it’s essential to stay alert and act early.
From 1st July to 31st August, Eurovet Veterinary Clinic is offering all our clients a full clinical examination for dogs and cats recently arrived from travel and currently staying away from their primary place of residence.
